The Nordic Institute for Marine Abnormalities (NIMA) was called to action to look for evidence of “Jelly-Ball” specimens in the waters of Vestland. Havforskningsinstituttet, wrote an article in NRK.no, by Simen Sundfjord Otterlei
regarding the sightings of these creatures and is requesting help to look for more specimens to test their DNA. Our team was adamant about finding an example, which could possibly be the missing link to Fjord Monster research and these reported creatures. Near Lunden in Sogndal County our team found this specimen in approximately 20m depth. Our team believes that there could possibly be more of these specimens and hopes that our contact letter to our fellow researchers at the Havforskningsinstituttet will result in more collaborations in the future. Wish us luck!
